From Scribbles to Masterpieces: 2500+ Paintings Illuminate GEMS OF INDIA 2025

A Spectacular Showcase of Young Artistic Brilliance in the city by Hina’s Art Pavilion

Ahmedabad, February 2025 – The city of Ahmedabad witnessed an extraordinary artistic extravaganza as Hina’s Art Pavilion (HAP) successfully hosted ‘GEMS OF INDIA 2025,’ one of India’s largest children’s art exhibitions and competitions. Over two days, thousands of visitors explored the artistic brilliance of young minds, making it a landmark event in the city’s cultural calendar.

With participants from across India and beyond, the event reached new heights this year, welcoming entries from Sri Lanka, Canada, and London, transforming GEMS OF INDIA into an international platform for young artists.

The exhibition showcased nearly 3,000 artworks from children aged 1 to 17, leaving visitors amazed by the sheer variety and numbers—from simple scribbles to intricate sketches and stunning canvas paintings. The display stirred admiration and surprise, proving that artistic expression knows no age limits. In addition, Gond tribal paintings from Earth Focus in Kanha and artworks from Apang Manav Mandal added a unique cultural dimension to the event, highlighting the diverse expressions of art.

To honor young talent, over 250 prizes were awarded, including 50 Gold, 50 Silver, 50 Bronze, and 100 special recognitions. Additionally, 15 special awards were presented—12 to tribal children and 3 to specially-abled artists, celebrating inclusivity and diverse artistic contributions. Schools with the highest participation were also recognized, reinforcing the importance of fostering creativity in education.

Beyond recognition, the event created real opportunities for young artists. Many hospitals, doctors, schools, and children’s activity centers expressed interest in purchasing artworks to encourage these budding artists. As a result, over 20 paintings were sold, with ongoing inquiries for more—showcasing how children’s creativity is being valued and supported.

Adding to the vibrant experience, visitors enjoyed a live art workshop, where children actively participated, further immersing themselves in the joy of creation. To elevate the celebration, spectacular dance and musical performances mesmerized the audience, making the event a true feast for the senses.

Dr. Hina Shah, Founder & Director of HAP, expressed her joy at the overwhelming response, stating, “Art is the foundation of creative thinking, and witnessing thousands of young artists come together to express their vision has been truly inspiring. This event is more than just an exhibition—it is a movement towards recognizing and nurturing artistic talent from an early age.”

With its unprecedented scale and impact, GEMS OF INDIA 2025 has cemented its place as one of the most significant art gatherings for children in India. As families, educators, and art lovers came together to celebrate young picassos, the event stood as a testament to the power of creativity in shaping a brighter future for our country.

Hina’s Art Pavilion (HAP) is a groundbreaking space, marking its place as India’s first national gallery uplifting the voices of all artists, specifically dedicated to showcasing the works of women and children artists.
